Learn about the conference program

The Pioneers Conference for Scientists offers everyone interested in science and technology the opportunity to learn about the latest pioneering research and innovations developed by Arabs, presented by distinguished researchers in their fields. Some will highlight their startups, while others will discuss the latest developments in their discoveries. The conference will feature diverse lectures from the world of biology, computer science, and human health and quality of life. The conference's objectives revolve around establishing an Arab scientific community that seeks to improve society through the use of research and development technologies.

Ronza Najjar

An operations engineer at Nvidia, formerly a manufacturing engineer at Intel, Ronza holds a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering and a master's degree in biomedical engineering from the Technion. Ronza will share with us at Panel about the role of industry in driving innovation and career opportunities for academics.

Dr. Firas Mawasi

Dr. Firas Mowasi completed his doctorate in biomedical engineering at Ben-Gurion University of Israel. He currently heads a laboratory researching neurosensors and neurorehabilitation at the Faculty of Biomedical Engineering at the Technion.

Dr. Nour Abdel Hadi

Dr. Nour completed her first degree in medical laboratory medicine at the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology, then pursued a second degree in health systems management and a doctorate in international public health at the University of Haifa. She currently serves as head of the Public Health Implementation Division at the Ministry of Health, specializing in developing a systematic plan to reduce health gaps in Arab society.

Dr. Hassan Abbasi

Dr. Hassan completed his master's and doctorate degrees in computer science at the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology. He then worked for several years at Google as a software engineer specializing in machine learning. He then founded his startup, Hat, a messaging company specifically serving the Arab community.

Dr. Haitham worked

Dr. Haitham Amel is an assistant professor at the Institute of Pharmaceutical Research at the Faculty of Pharmacy at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He also founded a company that aims to develop methods for diagnosing autism spectrum disorder using blood samples.

Co-CEO of Pioneers of Science and Technology Association, PhD in Immunology and Pharmaceutical Developer

Lynn Asali

Lynn Asali, holds a bachelor's degree in civil engineering with a specialization in building engineering and a bachelor's degree in transportation engineering. She also holds a master's degree in soil mechanics, foundations, and tunneling. She works as a researcher and teaching assistant for bachelor's degree students at the Technion. She also holds an administrative and engineering position in a private company.

Dr. Amer Elias

Dr. Amer holds a bachelor's degree in biology and a master's degree in genetic engineering. He works as a researcher at a pharmaceutical company specializing in the treatment of incurable genetic diseases through genetic engineering.

Mutlaq Hijazi

A graduate of the first degree in information systems and a programmer at a startup company, Mutlaq will present us with a simulation from the world of artificial intelligence.
